It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Ms. Alana Harkins, who left us peacefully on March 21, 225 at the age of 76.

Alana (Gregory) Harkins, born on February 9, 1949, embodied kindness, generosity, and strength. She selflessly devoted her life to her family. She touched the lives of everyone with her generosity, warm smile, quick wit, compassionate heart, and nurturing spirit.

Alana’s greatest love and passion is her family. She was a strong and independent single mom, a loving grandmother and caring great-grandmother. Alana’s love for her family was unwavering. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as cooking meals for family

gatherings, tending to her plants, beading jewelry for gifts, and sharing stories that spanned generations.

Alongside her family, she was a dedicated friend and pen pal to people across the country and in Europe. She was funny and extremely giving. Her love and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Alana was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Irma Gregory, and her grandparents, Joseph and Dominga Burgos.

She is survived by her children, Dennis Harkins and Heather Witherow; her brothers, Robert and Gary Gregory; and her sisters, Gina Fahrina, Lisa Erdmann, and Deborah Gregory.

She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Bryce Corfee, Skye Corfee, Andrew Witherow, and Kyrsten Witt, as well as her great-grandchildren: Justus (4) and Kadogan (2) Corfee, Sullivan (4) and Daniel (3) Parker, and Killian (3) Witt.

Alana’s presence will be greatly missed, but her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
