Alma Starkey

Alma E. Starkey, 69 of Farmington, passed away on August 31, 2024. She was born on July 26, 1955, in Hinkley, CA to Lawrence Starkey and Areminta Brown Starkey.

Our mom worked for Vicki's Fabric Store for 12 years in Colville, WA.She obtained her retail sales and checker certification through Colville Community College. When she retired we relocated to Farmington, NM because she wanted warm weather. Since this time, she has assisted in raising her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She has been a homemaker and loves to sew quilts. Her greatest passion was riding her trike with the wind in her hair. She has a lead foot but safe and sound.

She is survived by her daughters Lydia Curley and Shawna Frost; brothers Larry, Kenny, and Allen; her sisters Pat, Janet, Areminta, Pam, and Susan; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren Arminta, Glen, BillieRose, Jabe, Anthony, Zayn, Mable, Zandin, Taylinn, and Arlo.

There will be a celebration of Alma's life at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Lydia's house.
