Anthony Jude Mendoza Jr.

Anthony Mendoza Jr., 26, of Farmington, NM passed away on November 16, 2024. Anthony was born on January 22, 1998, in Gallup, NM to Anthony Mendoza Sr. and Jolene Estrada Mendoza.

Anthony lived in Anaheim, CA until the family moved to Farmington.

Anthony attended Rocinante High School, and he received his high school diploma from San Juan College. He also recently started his career with Country Gas, he was excited to be learning new things all while working alongside his dad.

Anthony loved to cook and was always in the kitchen asking his mom questions wanting to learn how to make his favorite foods. He enjoyed being outdoors, he always wanted to go fishing and camping alongside his friends. Most of all Anthony loved his family. He was a very devoted protective, and gracious son and brother. He loved to have movie nights with his mom and dad. And a true big brother fashion would love to pick on his little sister. He had a very contagious laugh and great sense of humor. Even though he wouldn’t admit it, since he was little, he loved to model and take pictures. Recently he starred as Qua-hu’s Calvin Klein model. He also loved to take his family for rides in his new BMW, that he was so proud to have.

Although Anthony ‘s passing was very unexpected, we come together to remember the life he lived, the way he loved and all the memories we all hold deep in our hearts.

Anthony is preceded in death by his paternal Nana Betty Baca, maternal grandpa Arthur Baca Sr., and great-grandma Jennie Maldonado.

He is survived by his parents Anthony Mendoza Sr. and Jolene Estrada Mendoza, sister Alicia Mendoza, grandma Joyce Estrada, and grandpa Edward Mendoza Sr.

Pallbearers are Alicia Mendoza, Eddie Mendoza, Arthur Baca Jr., Robert Bobby Baca, Qua-hu James, Josiah Mendoza, and Aviance Olguin.

Honorary Pallbearers are Lavern James, Shawn James Jr., Jeremiah Mendoza, Craig Macias Jr., Jayson Estrada, Diego Hayes, and Aniyah Mendoza, Johnny Gutierrez, and Nate Gutierrez.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 10:00AM at Cross Roads Community Church, 2400 N Butler, Farmington, NM.

A reception to follow at Sycamore Community Center, 1051 Sycamore St., Farmington, NM.
