Arleva McClelland, devoted wife and loving mother, passed away on April 3, 2024 in Farmington, NM at the age of 90. She was born June 18, 1933 in Foss, OK to Noah and Bama Pope. She grew up in Elk City, OK attending school, working as a car hop and picking cotton to help support the family. She met the love of her life, Loren Lee McClelland, and they married August 25, 1951 in Beckham, OK. They had four children, Mark Allen, Anita Sue, Michael Lee and Debra Dale. Working in the oilfield they moved to many cities and states landing in Farmington in 1973. Loren passed on April 3, 2003. Arleva survived on her own dedicating her time to family, church and friends. After fighting skin cancer for many years, she was called home on April 3, 2024.

She is preceded in death by her husband Loren Lee McClelland; daughter, Anita Sue McClelland; father Noah Easom Pope; mother Bama Irene Pope; sisters Melba Jean Horstkoetter, Anna Belle Whitaker, Wyona Marie Sparlin, Reta Joyce Britton and Sharon Kay Pope; brothers Elgia Elvan Pope and Larry Eugene Pope.

She is survived by her sons Mark Allen McClelland, Michael Lee McClelland (Diane); daughter Debra Dale Ogan (Robert), grandchildren Shawn McClelland, Alicia Coats (Richard), Luke Ogan, Malissa McClelland, Tyson McClelland, Mindy Calvez (Rick), Jason McClelland (Carmen), Andrea Shepard; nine great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Emmanual Baptist Church with internment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Farmington, NM.

Arleva's care is entrusted to Farmington Funeral Home, 2111 W. Apache St., Farmington, NM, 505-325-2211.

Pallbearers are Jason McClelland, Jarod Hofman, Irin Hofman, Chase Calvez, Chris Kerschion and Dylan St. Vrain.

In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting donations in her memory to Emmanual Baptist Church, 211 W. 20th St., Farmington, NM 87401.
