Audra Celeste Lozano (Gonzales), 44, of Farmington, NM, spread her wings and took flight on October 5, 2024, in Denver, Colorado. Born on August 9, 1980, in Laramie, Wyoming, to Bobby Ray Gonzales and Evelyn Mae Gonzales, Audra was a free spirit who embraced life with open arms and an open heart.
From a young age, Audra was a vibrant soul, never afraid to speak her mind or explore the world around her. Her love for nature blossomed into a lifelong appreciation for its beauty, and as her mother fondly recalls, “She always liked to learn the hard way.” This adventurous spirit fueled her determination and made her a hard worker, shining brightly in every endeavor she pursued.
Audra’s incredible people skills allowed her to connect with many, and her most recent role as a dispatcher/trucking coordinator for Coastal Chemical was a testament to her dedication and warmth. Her journey alongside her husband Erik was filled with exploration of the world’s natural wonders, and together they created countless cherished memories.
An artist at heart, Audra expressed herself through various mediums, including painting, poetry, pottery, fashion, and culinary creations. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her loved ones, especially her beloved nieces and nephews, who were the light of her life.
Audra was a beacon of love and light, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she met. She loved fiercely, and her laughter and radiant smile could light up the darkest of days. Her family is forever grateful for her lung donor, Kaylee, who gifted her with an extended life. Audra would often say, “We belung to-gether,” in reference to her and Kaylee. Though the double lung transplant was a miraculous blessing, Audra faced many challenges afterward. We take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, her suffering at an end. We can envision her warrior spirit soaring through the skies, watching over us with her infectious laughter and radiant smile. Audra will be lovingly remembered by all.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who loved and supported Audra throughout her journey. They are also grateful to the transplant team, Kaylee and her family, and all the medical professionals who cared for her with compassion. Audra understood that all things are in the hands of God and believed that He uses others to carry out His wondrous works. May God receive all the glory for the blessings we have shared, including the gift of Audra’s beautiful soul.
Audra is preceded in death by her father, Bobby Gonzales; her sister Angela Gonzales; her beloved fur baby Firu; her maternal grandmother Ophelia Neumeyer; and her paternal grandmother Mary Cecelia Triano.
