Barbara Brite

Barbara Lee Brite, 78, of Farmington, NM., passed away on October 07, 2022. She was born February 13, 1944 in Gainesville, TX. to Leslie Verna Lee Cain and Fannie Lee Cain.

Barbara retired from many years at Guardian Title Company. She was an active member at the Farmington Elks Lodge #1747 for many years and the last couple of years she was the event coordinator. Barbara loved to dance all of her life, she enjoyed camping and fishing as well as spending time with her family and friends. She really loved to host big Thanksgiving dinner in her home every year. She was an adamant groupie for her son-in-law's, Doug, band. She also enjoyed playing card games and board games with family and friends and was an avid reader.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Alton Brite of Farmington; her parents Leslie Verna Lee Cain and Fannie Lee Cain of Farmington; grandparents Eli Carnett and Bertha Carnett of Gainesville, TX. and Maggie Bagwell of Myra, TX.; and her grandson Jeff Crawford of Farmington.

She is survived by her daughter Lori A. (Doug) Hodges; sons Rick R. (Shelly) Brite and Tyson L. (Shauna) Brite; brother Leslie E. Cain; sisters Jane G. McCoppin and Joyce E. (Kenneth) Nabors; grandchildren Michael J. (Anna) Hindman, Tiffany L. Bond, D. Brandon (Yan Yan) Hindman, Jessica Brooks, Richie W. Brite, Meaghan W. Mathis, Kailey A Brite, Thomas C. Brite, Ryan D. Brite; 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, October 21st at 2:00pm at the Farmington Elks Lodge #1747.
