Bernardo "Bernie" Polanco, 55, of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away on January 28, 2022, in Douglas, Wyoming. Bernie was born on August 20, 1966, in Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico to parents Jose Dolores Polanco and Maria Ernestina Villalobos. Bernie was the epitome of the American dream. He came to the United States as a child, working odd jobs until he found his calling in the Oil field. Bernie created his own legacy as one of the best workover rig operators in the Four Corners. His work ethic coupled with his loving demeanor made him a very unique soul. He knew no stranger. Anyone who was near him instantly became his friend. Bernie dedicated his life to the Lord and taking care of his family. With the spiritual guidance of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints his faith was unwavering. Bernie and his wife were married for over 31 years. Angelica was the love of his life, best friend, and confidant. Bernie spent any free time he had enjoying it with his children and grandchildren. He would move mountains to help anyone who asked for it. His smile could light up a room or ease any heart. His generosity, strong hugs and wild jokes will be missed. He is riding his golden pumping jack in the sky. Bernie is preceded in death by his parents Jose D. Polanco and Maria E. Villalobos, brothers Lorenzo Polanco, Antonio Polanco, and sister Gabriela Polanco. Bernie is survived by his wife Angelica Polanco, son Diego Polanco, daughters Veronica (Omar) Polanco, Andrea (Ruben) Royval, Jessica Polanco, stepmother Maria de Jesus Yanez de Polanco, brothers Enrique, Ruben, Victor, and Jose "Paco", sisters Gloria, Leonor, Maria and Micaela, grandchildren Giovanni, Gabriel, Gustavo, Emilio, Julian, Maya, Dannikka and Mica. A viewing will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022, from 4:30-8:30pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1310 E 24th St, Farmington, New Mexico. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 5th, 2022, from 10:00am- 11:00am, followed by Burial at Greenlawn Cemetery, 1606 N Dustin Ave, Farmington, NM at 12:30pm. The Family will be hosting a Reception at 2:00pm at Hurricane Air and Swabbing at 5949 Hwy 64, Farmington, NM.
