Bernice Deel

 Bernice Deel, of Shiprock NM, was born June 21^st 1960, to Anna Ahkeah and Robert Billy. Bernice went on to attend the Haskell Indian Nations University, formerly known as Haskell Indian Junior College (1980 – 1982) and received an associates degree in Liberal Arts. Bernice proudly worked at Raytheon Technologies for 8 years. In her spare time she was a creator. She loved crochet, sewing and cooking. Everything she made she gifted to others.

Bernice is preceded in death by her parents Anna Ahkeah and Robert Billy; and her brothers McGarret and Raymond Billy.

She is survived by her husband Lorenzo Deel; Sons Loren Deel, Alonzo Deel, Justin Deel; Daughters Brooke Deel, Kristen Deel, Krystal Deel; Brothers Wilson Billy, Roger Billy, Russell Billy; Sisters Bernita Thompson, Priscilla Johnson; many grandchildren including Kiyrinzo Deel, Ethan Deel, Eva Deel, Luke Henry, Elena Deel, Catalina Deel, Elijah Deel, Gabriella Deel, Cataleya Deel and Ezekiel Deel.

Bernice passed away at the age of 62 on April 12^th, 2023.

Services are set for Tuesday 10:30 am  April 18th 2023 at the Open Bible Baptist Church followed by a graveside at Kirtland Fruitland cemetery.
