Betty Sandoval

March 1, 1950 — December 8, 2022

Farmington

Betty Sandoval, 72, of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away on December 8, 2022, in Denver, Colorado. Betty was born on March 1, 1950, in Farmington, New Mexico, to parents Melisendro and Mary Sandoval.

Learning to sew in her early years, Betty mastered the title of Seamstress. She made countless fabulous wedding gowns, as well as homecoming gowns, baby dresses and baby blankets…each and every one stitched with love.  She enjoyed spending time with three kids, grandkids and great grandkids.   Road trips were always an adventure with Betty.  Wrong way turns, one-way roads (wrong way), should have taken a left in Albuquerque-sometimes scary, always fun.

As a devoted Jehovah Witness, her door was open just as her heart was.  Always wanting to please, feed and help.  Not once putting herself first, always thinking of others, she was a caring, loving soul that looked after those who needed it the most.   To have known her was to love her.  She enjoyed cooking for her family, baking with the grand kids – enjoying life and all the surprises it came with.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents Melisendro and Mary Sandoval and her beloved sister Juanita Salazar.

Betty is survived by her son, Donny Wing and her crazy girls, Lisabeth Jones and Brenda Whitford (Glenn), brothers Albert Sandoval, Leroy Sandoval, Eugenio Sandoval, sisters Julia Martinez, Margie Bello, and, Viola Martinez,  6 granddaughters; Brittnee Sandoval, Lisa Marie Jones, Anita Monique Martinez, Dona Sandoval, Charlotte Sandoval and Mary Sandoval, 7 grandsons; Bobby Johnson, Toad Jones, Cruz Onava, Merle Whitford, David Whitford, Matthew Whitford and Theodore Sandoval, as well as 2 great-granddaughters and 2 great-grandsons.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 1:00pm, at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 5661 College Blvd. Farmington, New Mexico. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Farmington, New Mexico.
