Bill Arenas

Mr. Bill Arenas, age 70 of Aztec, NM passed away on Friday January 3, 2025. Bill was born on July 11, 1954, to Paul Raul Arenas and Maria De La Cruz Arenas-Haws. In 1972 he met the love of his life Sally Martinez while attending a dance. They were then married on December 22, 1973. From there they built their home and family. Bill was completely devoted and dedicated to his family. He was passionate about his hobbies and made sure the family was always included in the adventures of searching for lost treasures or catching the biggest fish. When he wasn’t prospecting for gold or fishing, he was always hiking, camping or riding his four-wheeler. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Maria, his brother Dennis M. Arenas and his grandmother Clorinda Chavez.

Surviving is his wife of 52 years Sally. His son Johnny (Michelle) Arenas. Daughters, Linda (Christina) Arenas-Martinez and Carmen (Don) Sheets. Grandchildren, Elijah (Amy), Dominic (Lila), Mariah, Elyse, Alex, Quay and Tobias. His brother, Pat (Nona) Arenas. Sisters, Theresa (Jerome) Padilla and Margaret (Glen) Keller. His sister in-law, Leona (Pete) Krivokapich and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be celebrated at 2:00 pm Saturday January 11, 2025, from Farmington Funeral Home, 2111 W. Apache St. Farmington, New Mexico. With Pastor Alan Wolfard Officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in Aztec Cemetery, Aztec, NM.
