Bobbie Keeney

Bobbie Jean Keeney (94) passed away August 6, 2023. Bobbie was born in Stamford, TX on September 17, 1928, to Frank & Julia Keeney. Bobbie attended Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, TX, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.

Bobbie's calling was teaching; 1st grade to be exact! She taught at McCormick Elementary, Northeast Elementary, and Bluffview Elementary. Bobbie molded the many young minds of Farmington for 35 years! Bobbie was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for 65 years.

Bobbie's family was her life, and her pups were her companions. She loved to dance, and she loved spending time at Vallecito Lake in Colorado. In addition to being a teacher during the day, she worked various other jobs at night to help provide a loving and safe home for all of her children.

Bobbie is survived by her sons, Mark Keeney and Keith Keeney; daughter, Lisa Minnehan; grandchildren, Tina (Don), Schanda (Dominic), Monte (Debra), Allen (Kristen), and Nancy; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Jacob, Todd, Cody, Candice, Ella, Kelsey, Reese, Remy, and Riley.
