There will be a new and brighter star tonight, as Brenda Stilwell passed on to our heavenly father after a long term illness. She was preceded in death by her parents William Agnelly Rexford and Helena Landry Rexford, and Brother William Rexford Jr.
She is survived by her husband James Stilwell, son Joshua of Farmington, and niece Susan R. DeKat and husband Patrick of New Orleans.
Brenda was born in New Orleans, and was proud of her southern heritage. She attended school at Rosaryville, the Dominican Convent. She then attended and graduated from Warren Easton High School in New Orleans (Nawlins). A natural fisherman and shrimper, she loved the outdoors. Her background influenced the French style of cooking for her family. She focused on her family and church. Member of Hammond Ward of the Church of Latter Day Saints Temple. She was so proud and enjoyed the work that she shared with so many.
Brenda is a talented artist and Instructor of Ceramics, Oil Painting, and design of porcelain dolls. Over the past 10 years was an Instructor and volunteer at the senior citizens center in Farmington. She received various awards, including being published in several Art magazines. She was especially proud of the design and decoration of the Church Bulletin at the Church.
