Camilla (Borszich, Keller) Maestas passed away at the age of 84 in Farmington, New Mexico on April 4,2024 She was born to Anthony and Florence (Ferris) Borszich in Yankton, South Dakota on 10/12/1939. She graduated from Todd County High School in 1957. She grew up in S.D. where she met and married Albert Keller. In 1962 they moved from S.D. to the Navajo Reservation to live and work. They were married for 42 years until his passing in 2000. Of this union there are four children, Kathy Boyd (Mike), Cullan Keller (Barbara), Julie Trujillo (Celio Jr) and Father Matthew Keller.
December 6th 2003, she married Roger Maestas who brought two children into the family, Tammy Callahan and Joe Maestas (Connie). In the 20 years they were married they went on 6 pilgrimages to Europe and several R.V. adventures.
Her hobbies included, sewing, quilting, and canning. She made baby quilts for her 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was very involved in church activities. Her faith and devotion to our Lord and the Blessed Mother were an example to all of us.
Camilla was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, Jerry, Harlan, Robert and Everett Borszich and one sister, Sister Helen Borszich of the Franciscan Order.
She is survived by Roger Maestas (husband), her brother Tom Borszich (Connie), and sister Bernadette Usera (Jay), and her 6 children.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Michael's Namaste House for their wonderful care of Camilla. A special thanks to Juana Jacobo Perez and Sandra Orozco for all their help and love. We would also like to acknowledge everyone at Grandma's Restaurant for all their love and support.
Services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bloomfield, New Mexico. Rosary will be on Wednesday, April 10th at 7pm. The Funeral will be on Thursday, April 11th at 10am. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
