Our beloved Carlyle Cruz Joe passed away on Friday, September 17th, 2021 in Gilbert, AZ where he lived and worked. He was born on October 9th, 1989 in Farmington, New Mexico (aged 31 years old). Carlyle worked in the hospitality industry and brought joy and happiness to everyone he came in contact with. Coworkers and bosses spoke very highly of him. Carlyle is survived by: his parents Oreland C. Joe Sr. of Kirtland, NM, and Charlotte Dosumu (spouse Sam Dosumu) of Farmington, NM; siblings Hyrum C. Joe of Chandler, AZ, Oreland "Bo" Joe Jr., of Sheridan, WY, Alandon C. Joe of Gilbert, AZ, Alissa C Kelley (spouse John Kelley) of Aztec, NM and Summer B. Joe of Tucson, AZ; step siblings Joshua S Dosumu of Bailey, CO and Christyna A Dosumu of Thornton, CO; maternal grandparents Herbert and Marie Peterson of Teec Nos Pos, AZ, and paternal grandmother Stella M. Joe of Shiprock, NM.

Carlyle grew up in Kirtland, New Mexico where he attended grade school through high school at Kirtland Central High School. He had a profound love for music, mountain biking, hiking, snowboarding and being around his family. He was a very proud uncle of two nephews and four nieces, who brought him incredible happiness and joy. His kindness and compassion towards others affected all who surrounded him. He is beloved by everyone who came in contact with him.

Funeral service will take place at the LDS Church (2nd Ward) in Kirtland, NM (CR 6100) on Saturday September 25, 2021 at 11:00am. Carlyle will be laid to rest September 25, 2021 at Memory Gardens in Farmington, NM. Funeral reception will follow at the LDS Church in Kirtland.
