Cathy Anne Parrish, 59, of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away peacefully at her home on August 19, 2023, surrounded by her loving husband, daughters, and cherished grandchildren. Cathy was born in Argentia, Newfoundland, Canada to Larry and Sharon Warner. Throughout her childhood, Cathy moved between various Naval Bases with her family, finally settling in Colorado Springs where she spent her formative years.
In her early twenties, Cathy relocated to Farmington, where she met her future husband, Anton. The two wed in 1985 and were blessed with two daughters. Among her many cherished roles, "Grandma" was Cathy's favorite title. She delighted in spending her days loving on her grandchildren, paddle-boarding at the lake, taking her dogs for "walkies" with Anton, and unwinding in the evenings on her back patio, tending to her garden, and losing herself in a good book. Cathy's radiant smile and infectious laugh will be profoundly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Larry Warner and Sharon Giordano, and her sister, Carla Komatz. She is survived by her devoted husband, Anton Parrish; daughters Holly Gallegos (Gabriel) and Meriel Martin (Bradley); grandchildren Gunner, Tinnley, Rainey, Kingston, Chessa, and Zoe; siblings Dawn Kottke and family, Paula Shoemaker and family, Stephen Michael Warner and family, Todd Warner and family, and Clifford Warner and family; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life in honor of Cathy will take place on September 2, 2023, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Wines of the San Juan, 233 NM-511, Blanco, NM 87412. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider making a memorial contribution in Cathy's honor to the San Juan Medical Foundation, Cathy Lincoln Memorial Fund at sanjuanmedicalfoundation.com, to support women undergoing cancer treatment.
