Chandra Kenworthy

July 8, 1952 — February 14, 2023

Daughter, Sister, Mother, Grandma, Great grandma, Aunt, great Aunt, Great, Great aunt and Friend-Chandra Kenworthy (McDaniel) left us suddenly on February 14, 2023. Aunt Du, as she was affectionately known, devoted her life to her family. She was born July 1952 to Rose and Leon McDaniel. She was the baby sister to Jimmy and Gary McDaniel. She was preceded in death by her Son TJ, Brothers Gary and Jimmy, Mother Rose, Fathers Wayne Allred and Jack McDaniel, her nephew Jimmy Newt McDaniel and her great nephew Damian McDaniel.

Chandra has always loved deeply. She has always been family oriented. The security she had in her family centered her. She was heartbroken upon the divorce of her parents but endeavored to maintain the strong relationship through their strained relationship. When Grandma Rose married Wayne Allred she instantly formed a father daughter bond with Wayne as well. Wayne helped teach her lessons that she implemented into her life. Being born to a family and choosing a family can garner just as much love. She had two incredibly protective brothers, being the incredibly gorgeous baby sister to two extremely protective older brothers was not for the faint heart. She was constantly trying to push their boundaries even slightly. This helped her to develop her unwavering spirit. She learned to work hard for anything she wanted in life. She loved her family deeply and that is what she wanted for herself. She wanted to have a large family.

Chandra built her life around her family. The expansion of her family is her greatest accomplishment. She was endlessly proud of them. She was married to Ernest Gurule, through that marriage she had 2 kids Tawnya and TJ. Chandra and Ernest divorced and later she married Tom Kenworthy. Tom and Chandra had 3 children Tyson, Crystal and Tanesha. Upon her kid's marriage she gained 4 additional children bringing her family to 9 kids. Watching her family grow has been her greatest joy. Every time her family has expanded it has been celebrated. She has 15 grandchildren-Trystian, Terian, Bryon, Thomas, Austin, Tayah, Kalynn, Aspen, Ethan, Aryann, Cierra, Quyntin, Brielle, Noah and Levi. She has 5 Great grandkids: Montgomery, Amelia, Nyxx, Nyhte and Artemys. She has many nieces and nephews, Great nieces and nephews and Great, great nieces and nephews. On top of those related to her she has many who she has chosen or has chosen her to be their aunt.

Her life had been fought hard through many tribulations, but she came out as a strong, loving person regardless of the difficulties she faced. A common theme when discussing Chandra is the safe place she created for us to play, gather and recharge. Her undeniable fiery spirit has connected to us all. The legacy she leaves behind is vast and incredibly strong. She taught her family the importance of staying close, supporting each other, and acceptance through love. She loves her family through all choices, often helping them find a different path through her continued love and support.

We would like you to Join us in celebrating her legacy and whispering our goodbyes on March 11 at 2 pm at World Harvest Center.
