Chantal Josee Schuessler

Chantal Josee Schuessler (57) passed away April 27, 2022, in Farmington, New Mexico. She was born February 16, 1965, in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada to parents Marcel Jean Claude Baron and Solange Huguette Francois Marcoux Baron. Chantal moved to the United States as a young girl. She often told stories about the snow from back home and the restaurant her parents owned. As the only girl to six brothers, she learned to be tough, a bit of a tomboy, and competitive. Her favorite memories were of Christmas spent with her parents and family in Farmington with penny poker, great food, and tons of kids. She enjoyed playing games like Yahtzee, Mario Party, and Disney Trivia with her kids. Her laughter and smile will be greatly missed.

Chantal is preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Wayne Schuessler; and her parents, Marcel & Solange Baron. Chantal is survived by her sons, Joseph Michael Lash and Johnny Ray Wiggins; her daughters, Valarie Solange Jenkins and Heather Nicole Van Huss; her brothers, Serge (Susan), Guy (Kathy), Gaetan (Melinda), Jean, Sylvain, and Eric (Mary Lou) Baron; and several grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service held Saturday, June 11, 2022, at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church 700 Navajo Ave., Aztec, NM. A reception will immediately follow the memorial service.
