Christine Garcia

Christine Madeline Garcia, 60 of Farmington, NM gained her wings on January 6, 2024. She was born January 8, 1963 in Durango, CO to Ernest Bowen and Maria "Louisa" Bowen.

Christine was a beloved wife, mom, nana, and sister. She loved to be around her family. She would cook dinner to bring us all together. She loved to travel to Mesa, AZ to visit family and friends. Christine had a big heart and cared for everyone around her. She always had to have her hair done and makeup on. She loved to put on all of her jewelry and loved different perfumes. She will be dearly missed by everyone she knew. She will always and forever have a special place in our hearts.

Christine was preceded in death by her loving husband Victoiano Garcia; her parents Ernest Bowen and Maria "Louisa" Bowen; and her grandparent Rosa V. Quintana.

She is survived by her son Victor (Amanda) Ruetas; her daughters Victoria Garcia (Marcos) Porras and Santana Garcia (Adrian) Velasquez; her brothers Jake Bowen, Richard "Dick" (Diane) Jones, Don (Betty) Bowen; her sisters Diana Pedregon, Teresa Bowen (Don) Bechtel; grandchildren Felicita Garcia, Denise Porras, Jalice Garcia, Maris Porras, Christina Garcia-Zuniga, Nyomi Garcia-Zuniga, Adilena Velasquez, Araceli Velasquez, Gabriella Ruelas, Kairi Ruelas, Catalina Ruelas, and Luciana Ruelas.

There will be a rosary at 10:30 am on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Farmington. The mass will follow at 11:00 am with a reception at 12:00 pm.
