Clay Mackey

January 13, 2022 — April 8, 2024

Clay James Mackey went to be with Jesus on April 8, 2024 following a tragic farm accident. Clay was born on January 13, 2022, bringing joy to everyone who knew and loved him. During Clay's two years on earth his bright blue eyes gave countless moments of happiness. He was a happy boy with a kind and gentle soul. He was always excited to watch his favorite show, "Blaze and Monster Machines", answering every question possible from the show. Clay loved all things mechanical, spending hours playing with his brother and best friend, Russell in their sand box. The two cowboys were the best of friends sharing their passion of monster trucks, semis, tractors and horses. Clay and Russell were the "duo of destruction" in the best way possible.

Clay embodied the perfect combination of his family's passions; trucks, tractors and horses. If he was not playing with a truck or tractor, he was at the barn with his mom and dad learning how to care for horses, clean pens, groom, ride and be a cowboy. Clay always wanted to be with Dad and Mom, working on whatever project was going at the time. Clay was loved dearly by his "village." If he was not with Mom and Dad; he was in the loving care of Meme Suzie, Papa Tim, or special aunties Krista and Shay.

Clay is survived by his loving parents, Justin and Calla, brother, Russell, Grandparents, Tim and Suzie Cox; Grandparents, Jerry and Lorena Mackey; Great Grandmothers Marylin Cox, Jovonne Newby, Edith Ray and Nana Bonnie Vessels; Uncle Jake and Aunt Carmin Cox, Cousin CJ Cox; Aunt Corena Mackey and Uncle Casey Collom, cousins, Roper and Lauretta Collum, Luke Mackey, Matt Miller, and numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins.

Clay was preceded in death by his Uncle Nelson Clay Mackey, Great grandfathers; Jim Cox, Russell Newby, Nelson "Pinkie" Mackey, Great Grandmother, Lois Stansell Mackey & her husband JR Stansell.

Please join our family to celebrate Clay's life at "Cox Family Arena" the place where Clay was happiest, playing in the dirt and riding his pony, Chapo. Saturday April 13, 12:00 noon. We will share a meal immediately following at the same location.
