Daniel Komko

AZTEC, NM.  Danny Daniel Komko age 72 of Aztec New Mexico passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019.   It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of God’s more gentle souls –– too young to say good bye, and yet we must.

Dan was born to John and Mildred Komko on August 11, 1946.  Dan seemed always to see the positive, but he hit the jackpot when he met Linda Lovejoy.  They were married on Valentine’s Day, 1970.  Dan moved from Ohio to New Mexico with his family in 1973 where he raised his children and lived a full life with his wife.

Dan enjoyed golfing, cooking and most of all his grandchildren and their sports.  Dan never missed a game his grandchildren were in and he was an avid fan of all 3 of them.  He loved to travel cross country to see his family in Ohio, Texas, Iowa, Indiana, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Dan is survived by his wife Linda (Lovejoy), daughters Jennifer Komko and Amy Komko Lucero (Santiago), and his three grandsons Isaiah, Isaac, and Elijah. He is also survived by sisters Mary S. Davies of Lorain, OH and Bettie Styfurak of Parma Hts., OH and many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Mildred Komko, and his older brother, Mike.

Services will be held on Friday, March 8th at 1:00 pm at The Aztec United Methodist Church, 123 E Chaco Ave., Aztec New Mexico.  A Pot Luck luncheon will be held from 2:30 – 4:30 at St. Joseph’s Parish Hall, 500 N. Mesa Verde Ave, Aztec New Mexico.
