Danny Leon Bowers

Danny Leon Bowers, 79, of Aztec, New Mexico, passed away on August 2, 2023, in Aztec, New Mexico. Danny was born in Morenci, Arizona, on March 22, 1944, to parents Chester and Cordellia Bowers. 

Danny had a Bachelor of Art in Theology and enjoyed Church and bible study groups and loved the Lord. Danny spent 13years in the Navy and was a Chief Petty Officer when he was honorably discharged in 1976. He worked many years at Arizona Public Service Company Powerplant and retired from the Public Service Company Powerplant in the Four Corners. 

Danny is preceded in death by his first wife of nearly 49 years Wanda June Bowers, daughter Barbara June Scholz (Sam), parents Chester and Cordellia Bowers, and sister Barbara June Brunson. 

Danny is survived by his wife Peggy Francis Bowers, daughter Treva Van Gilder, stepdaughter Kristine Alexander (Marty), grandchildren Brooke Nichole Bowers, Joshua Elton Van Gilder and Taylor Bean, great granddaughters Kaydence Bowers, and Keeling Bean, nieces Polly Damron, Patty Warden, and nephew George Brunson.
