Dennis Gallegos

Dennis Gallegos, 67, of Bloomfield, NM, passed into our Savior’s welcoming arms Thursday, January 17, 2019, after a lengthy fight with cancer. He was born November 13, 1951, to Lawrence and Mary Gallegos. Dennis graduated from Farmington High School in 1970. He worked for El Paso Natural Gas for 27 years then as a contract Tech until his retirement in 2015. Dennis loved being with his family and friends. He was an avid hunter and an expert in calling in game. Dennis was loved by all and will be missed forever. He is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Gallegos, Sr. and brother, Harold Gallegos. Dennis is survived by his soul mate of 42 years, Sharon (Sherrie) Gallegos of Bloomfield, daughter, Amy Jones (CJ) of Aztec, sons, Scott Gallegos (Bethel) of San Diego, CA, and Clinton Gallegos (Andrea) of Farmington, grandchildren, Demethrio Gallegos, Emilio Gallegos, Dominic Gallegos, Kali Gallegos, Gabriel Gallegos, Analiyah Archer, Elias Gallegos, Niema Gallegos, Meara Jones, Lilly Jones, Serena Jones, and Leia Gallegos. He is also survived by his mother Mary Gallegos, Farmington, and brothers, Lawrence Gallegos, Jr. (Christina), Thomas Gallegos (Roxanne), Greg Gallegos (Jessie), Gary Gallegos, Roy Gallegos, Dale Gallegos, and sisters Shirley Armijo (Richard), Debra Caywood (Tim), Diane Custer, Mary Gilbreath (Mike), Geraldine Godwin (Les), and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a celebration of Dennis’ life Saturday, January 26, 2019, at the First Baptist Church of Bloomfield at 10:00 am. The family is asking in lieu of flowers to donate to New Mexico’s Game and Fish Foundation in honor of Dennis Gallegos.
