Derald Ferrari

Derald "Vince" Ferrari, 70, of Farmington, passed away on December 3, 2020. He was born July 23, 1950 in Farmington to Derald and Charlene Ferrari.

Vince attended Bloomfield schools and graduated in 1968. He enjoyed great times with his family and had many great memories of times with his cousins. He played in a band while in high school and loved to race cars as a youngster. Vince and Helen own and operate Wal Art Gallery, Arroyo Trading Co and Farmington Funeral Home where he said he found his true calling helping people at their worst time. He never knew a stranger. He cared deeply for his community and took pride in those he served. He loved his family and could not wait to teach the young ones how to whistle through a straw or shoot spit wads. He looked forward to family gatherings and time out at the lake. He was very proud of his Italian heritage and strived to bring honor to the family name and expected the same from his family.

Vince was preceded in death by his daughter Loree Ann Ferrari; parents Derald John Ferrari and Charlene Ann Wood and his grand parents Rudy & Albina Ferrari and Glen & Julia Wood.

He is survived by his loving wife Helen of 43 years; son Shane (Brandie)  Ferrari; Daughter Heather Ferrari; brothers Rudy (Lynn) Ferrari, Mick (Deb) Ferrari, and Mike (Terry) Ferrari; sister Sheree Ferrari; grandchildren Raquel Garza, Vincenti Acosta, Maricella Acosta, Natalia Ferrari, Ashlee Ferrari and Aiden Ferrari; great-grandchildren Oscar Treviso, Alexis Garzo, Mercedes Garza and Enzo Acosta; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was best known for being a kind, generous, fair man, loved by all.

There will be a celebration of his life at 10:00 am on Monday, December 7, 2020 at Farmington Funeral Home, 2111 W. Apache St. in Farmington. This will be streamed live on the Farmington Funeral Home Facebook page.

The family is requesting donations to be made to Echo Food Bank in lieu of flowers.
