Derek Gagnebin

Derek Aaron Gagnebin, 36, of Farmington, NM., passed away on December 20, 2023. He was born on July 6, 1987, in Farmington, NM., to his loving parents Mike Gagnebin and Pam Gathings.

Derek was known for his love and kindness towards everyone he met. His warm heart and genuine nature touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of calling him a friend.

Derek was a cherished son, brother, uncle, grandson, and nephew. His presence brought joy to his family's gatherings, and his infectious laughter filled the room with happiness. Derek's unconditional love and support were unwavering. He was always there for his loved ones through both good times and bad.

In addition to being a compassionate person, Derek possessed many talents and interests. He had a natural gift for making people feel comfortable in his presence. Derek loved being outdoors, whether it was hiking through the picturesque landscapes or taking long walks near his hometown in Farmington, NM.

Derek's memory will forever live on in the hearts of his loved ones. Though he may no longer be with us physically, he will be eternally cherished as we recall the beautiful moments we shared with him.

Derek Gagnebin was preceded in death by his father Mike Gagnebin; sister Kellie Waldschmidt; and grandparent Grace Willden. Their spirits will now reunite in eternal peace.

He is survived by his mother Pam Gathings; brothers Robert Gagnebin and Nick Gathings; sisters Jennifer Waldschmidt and Sarah Jackson; as well as grandparents Jim and Neva Gagnebin and Kenneth Willden.

During this time of sorrow, let us remember Derek for the love he brought into our lives. As we gather to honor his memory, let us celebrate his life and hold dear the moments we shared. May he rest in eternal peace, knowing the profound impact he had on those fortunate enough to have known him.
