Donald Richard Cartwright, 83, of Waterflow, NM went to be with his Savior on Jan. 29, 2022. Don was born Nov. 17, 1938, in Columbus, OH to William Harrison Cartwright and Clanthe Reeves Cartwright. He married Elva Lynn Jackson and together they had 4 children. He was employed by the Columbus Dispatch newspaper, Westinghouse, and Western Electric in Columbus, OH before moving to AZ and NM to minister to the Navajo Indians. Don was President and CEO of Aenon, International (Many Waters Mission) in Waterflow NM. He also did prison ministry in the county, state and federal prisons in Ohio and WV, and played bass guitar for OPTL. He assisted numerous mission teams from YWAM, Feed the Children, Experience Missions, Japan, Korea, and South Africa, and elsewhere, in addition to individual churches from across the US. Don helped oversee the building of many churches on the Navajo reservation, Eagles Nest Training Center, CPR, and Sterling ministries. He also helped oversee the distribution of thousands of Thanksgiving turkeys and bibles to the Navajo people, and thousands of Christmas gifts from East4West ministries of Virginia. Don was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Donna Jean and brother, James. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lynn Cartwright; sister, Sharon (Jack) Treadway; sons Brian (Patty) Cartwright, Brett (Penny) Cartwright, Brad (Laura) Cartwright and daughter, Larissa Cartwright; grandsons, Joshua (Teri) Martinez, Isaac Sanchez, Jason Brandenburg, Brennon Cartwright, Braden Cartwright, Gabriel Rosas, and Brodie Elijah Cartwright; granddaughters Sara Brandenburg, Brylee Cartwright, Mariah Rosas and Braelynn Cartwright; great-grandchildren Caleb, Porter and Baby Girl Martinez; many beloved nieces & nephews, and countless treasured friends A memorial service will be held Saturday Feb. 12 at 1 PM at RiverStone Church 808 N.
