Donna McKinney

Donna McKinney, a beloved member of the Aztec community, passed away on February 9,2024, at the age of 60. She was born on May 23, 1963, in Farmington, New Mexico. Donna led a fulfilling life as she pursued her passions and touched the lives of those around her.

Donna's career was centered around her passion for beauty. She owned her own beauty salon and dedicated countless hours to making others feel confident and beautiful. Her skills as a licensed beautician were unmatched, and she had an innate ability to bring out the best in people.

Beyond her profession, Donna had a love for education. She graduated from Aztec High School and cherished her time spent learning. She was always eager to expand her knowledge and embraced every opportunity to grow.

One aspect of Donna's personality that will forever be remembered was her unwavering love for family and dogs. She held a special place in her heart for her loved ones, cherishing every moment spent with them. Her adoration extended beyond humans as she nurtured a deep affection for animals, particularly her Doxies.

In her free time, Donna enjoyed engaging in various hobbies and interests. Crocheting brought her immense joy as she poured hours into creating beautiful blankets and crafts. Additionally, she found solace in the world of books, immersing herself in stories that transported her to different realms of imagination. Donna also admired the changing colors of leaves during the fall season and eagerly awaited its arrival every year. Gardening further allowed her to connect with nature, nurturing vibrant blooms that filled her surroundings with beauty.

Donna's memory will forever be treasured by those who survive her. Nathan B. McKinney, loving husband and partner through thick and thin; Cody Lee Cadman, devoted son whose life has been forever shaped by his mother's unwavering love.

To honor Donna's life, a visitation service will be held on February 16, 2024, beginning at 6:00 p.m. and concluding at 7:00 p.m. The service will take place at Farmington Funeral Home located at 2111 W. Apache Street, Farmington, NM 87401.

Donna McKinney's vibrant spirit and kind-hearted nature touched the lives of many. Her legacy of spreading beauty, warmth, and love will continue to live on in the memories of all those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
