Doris Litke

Doris Lorene Litke (96) of Bloomfield, New Mexico passed peacefully from this life and into the arms of the Lord in the early morning hours of January 18th, 2025. Doris was born on October 20th 1928 to Alice and John Hickey in Meade Kansas. She was married to the love of her life, Irvin Leland Litke, on February 8th in 1944. They remained happily married until his passing in August of 2016 and in her heart remained married to him until her the day of her death. Irvin and Doris were the proud parents of four children, Deanna Lyn (D), Rodney Allen, Tari Marlene, and Gregory Leland.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband Irvin Leland, her eldest daughter Deanna, and her grandson Patrick. She is survived by her children Rodney and wife Eloisa, daughter Tari and husband Steve, and son Gregory and wife Stacie. She is also survived by grandchildren Jessika Litke, Stephanie Gilbert, Christopher Valdez, Sarah Harkin, Hannah Feller, Brittany Litke, Samantha Wells, Joshua Litke, Christopher Munden, Tonia Lucero, David Lucero, Kristianna Garcia, Matthew Lucero, 17 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

A celebration of her life is planned for February 16th, 2025 at the Aztec Church of the Nazarene of which she was a long time member. The church is located at 1061 Hwy 516 in Aztec NM and service is planned for 2:00pm. Services will be officiated by Pastor Ken Weisheit and a potluck reception will occur after the service.

In Lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Aztec church of the Nazarene so that they may continue to reach out to those in need of Christ.
