Ed S. Armenta
Ed Armenta, 87, passed away at home on November 20, 2020. He was born in Bloomfield, New Mexico on August 3, 1933 to Frank and Delphinia Armenta.
Ed attended school in Blanco, New Mexico and served 2 years in the United States Army.
After leaving the Army, Ed came back home to New Mexico where he went to work for The Bolack Ranch. He later moved to California with his Mother to be closer to his sister. Later he moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where he went to work for the United States Post Office where he remained until he retired in 2007.
He moved to Bloomfield in 2019 so that family could help take care of him. He lived with his nephew Melvin Gene Serna who was his caregiver for the past 15 months.
Ed was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, his brothers, Harold, Roumaldo and Frank, and his sisters Benita and Mary.
Ed was a devout Catholic and an exceedingly kind and generous man. Ed is survived by several nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
Services will be held on December 12, 2020, beginning with The Holy Rosary at 10:30 AM with Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bloomfield, NM. He will be laid to rest immediately following at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bloomfield, NM.
