Eugene Dixon, of Flora Vista New Mexico, born February 4th, 1930, to Bruce and Betty Dixon was united with his Savior on December 18th, 2020.
Eugene was lucky enough to meet his soul mate, Laura Pearl Templeton, and they married in 1951. They would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Valentine’s day 2021. Eugene was a proud veteran and served in both the Airforce and the Navy. He became a master cabinet maker and wood worker and was a genius when it came to visualizing and creating beautiful things. Eugene could always find a way to make people laugh, especially Laura when she was irritated with him. Laura said that Eugene would always have to have a kiss goodnight. If they were having a disagreement and if it was his fault, he would tell Laura, “All right, I’ll forgive you this time.” Laura would laugh and Eugene would get his goodnight kiss.

God saw he was getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around him and whispered, “Come with me.” With tear-filled eyes we watched his suffering fade away. Although we loved him deeply, we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard-working hands put to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
