Floyd Edison Magee, 45, of Farmington, NM went home with God on December 31st, 2018. Floyd was born on February 27th, 1973 to Ira F. Magee and Sue Ellen Loomis, in Farmington, NM. He graduated from Aztec High school and was proud to be a Tiger. Floyd served as a corpsman in the U.S. Navy.
Floyd excelled at all he put his mind to: from his work ethic, his gifts and talents, to his family and friendships. He displayed his work ethic in phlebotomy, real estate sales, mortgage broking, and as Branch Manager for Cornerstone Home Lending, Inc., in both Farmington, NM and Durango, CO. Cornerstone Home Lending has gone above and beyond their call of duty as an employer and helped to care for Floyd and his family through the process. His gifts included coaching, administration, public speaking, leadership, singing, and serving all he knew. Two things that brought him joy were soccer and the ocean. Floyd gave all that he was to lead, protect, and provide for his family. He is survived by his wife, Micah; his children, John and Maggie; his mother, Sue Ellen Loomis; his twin brother, Carl; Carl’s wife, Elma; his sister, Denise Glynn; brother, Alfred Cordova; Alfred’s wife, Rhetha; mother and father-in-law, Mike and Nancy Tillman; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Michelle Wulfert; sister-in-law, Chelsea Tillman; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held at Farmington Funeral Home (2111 W. Apache St.) Thursday, January 3rd from 6-7 PM. A celebration of his life will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 211 W. 20th Street Friday, January 4th, 2019 at 1 PM. Following the celebration, graveside services will be held at Memory Gardens concluding with a reception at Emmanuel Baptist Church.
