Farmington

Frances Jane (Ramsey) Proctor was born November 17, 1941, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Ken and Annie Ramsey and went to “Walk in the Garden” with Jesus on January 19, 2025, in Farmington, New Mexico.

Jane’s childhood was spent in Gran Quivira, New Mexico and while she spent most of her life in a classroom where her mother was teaching, her formal education started in Mountainair, New Mexico. She was born into very musically inclined family, and it was while attending school in Mountainair that she enjoyed some of her fondest memories playing in the Marching Band.

During Jane’s Junior year of High School, the family moved to Corona, New Mexico where she met, and married Norris (Bo) Proctor and the couple welcomed their first daughter Roxie.

The young family later relocated to Moab, Utah where Jane raised gardens, sold Avon and later added two more daughters, Nicole and Radna to their family. In 1977, the family moved to LaSal, Utah to build the dream home that Jane designed. She also received training in permanent hair removal and opened her own business.

In 1989 she moved back to Moab where she first worked for the Moab Visitors Center and then later went to work for City Market, which she retired from after 20 years. Many close friendships were made during her years at City Market and these friendships lasted for the remainder of her years.

During her spare time, she spent countless hours building rock walls, planting and tending to orchards, gardens and flower beds. She was a faithful follower of Christ and was passionate about volunteering at the Rehabilitation Center at her church -River of Life Christian Fellowship. She also volunteered at the Moab Pregnancy Center.

In 2024, Jane relocated back to New Mexico to be closer to family.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents Ken and Annie Ramsey.

She is survived by her daughters- Roxie Shreeves, Nikkie Proctor and Radna (Mike) Running as well as her grandchildren Cyrus Lever, Kashmir Lever, Serena Lever, Devan Running and Dylanie Running and her faithful little partner Shadow.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
