Frank L. Stone of Bloomfield passed away on April 2, 2021. Frank was born on February 7, 1946 to Frank Sr. and Ramona Miranda Stone in Caballo, NM.
After graduating High School, Frank joined the Navy and served his country for four years aboard the USS Turner Joy and USS John A. Bole. Upon returning home to Truth or Consequences, he married the love of his life, Dorothy, and had two children. He spent over 50 years in the construction field working long hot hours paving highways throughout the state, never complaining of the hard work or the long hours it took to provide for his wife and children. Frank and Dorothy settled and made their home in Bloomfield where they raised their son and daughter. Frank devoted his life to his family and was blessed to be active in the lives of his grandchildren.
Frank spent his free time and retirement surrounding himself with the people he loved and the activities he enjoyed most. He loved the outdoors and spent countless hours working in his yard, hunting, fishing and camping. He was the hunting guide, fish whisperer, storyteller, and until more recent years - the camp cook.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Dorothy; son Brian (Kelly) Stone, daughter Ami Rice; four grandchildren, Evan and Andee Rice and Bryce and Grady Stone; sisters Zelma Iorio and Dora Tyree; brother-in-law Dan (Gwen) Alston and niece, Katie. Frank had numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews that will miss him dearly.
