Frederick S. Moore passed away on February 28, 2025, at the age of 88, with his family by his side. Frederick fought a long, courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Born on March 15, 1936, in Pueblo, Colorado, he graduated from Centennial High School in 1954 and enlisted in the Navy in 1955. While on recruiting duty in Plattsburgh, New York, he met and married his wife of 63 years, Ethel Cook-Moore. His tremendous work ethic saw him promoted from enlisted sailor to commissioned officer in 1964. Frederick retired from the Navy in 1975 after serving one tour of duty in Vietnam.

Frederick then went on to teach for the next 25 years at San Juan College in Farmington, New Mexico. He loved his family, fishing, camping, and working on household projects.

Frederick is survived by his wife, Ethel; his two children, Beth Moore and Stephan Moore; and his four grandchildren, Elisabeth, Stephan Jr., Winter, and Harmony.
