George Edward Horvath

George Edward Horvath was born in Mentmore, New Mexico October 3, 1932. George was one of eight children born to John and Lillie Mae Horvath.

George started school in Farmington, New Mexico. After moving to Breen, Colorado he attended Pleasant View School. He completed high school at Duragno High School. Following graduation, George enlisted in the Air Force, retiring in 1971. George then worked for Rust Tractor, in Farmington, retiring in 1998.

George was an avid outdoor enthusiast. He spent free time as a youth learning to hunt and fish. In retirement, he was able to enjoy these activities.

George is survived by his wife Doris Jean, son James (Jim), granddaughters, Brianna and Brittany. Sisters Bertha Peden and Edith Bukovec, and many neices and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be at Farmington TownePlace Suites 9:00 A.M. - 10:30 AM Friday July 22, 2022.
