Graviel Romero

Graviel "Gabe" Romero, 86, beloved Father, grandfather, husband, and brother, was called to his eternal resting place on September 03, 2021. He entered this world on March 13, 1935 in Manzano, NM. Born to Juan and Maria Romero. He is survived by his spouse Silvia Romero, daughter Elizabeth Randolph (Rob); daughter Kathy Whiteley (Gary); sons: Severo; Faustin, Rick, Larry (Delores), Paul (Spouse), and Gabe Romero Jr. Gabe is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gabe is preceded in death by his first wife Rosita, and brothers George and Eloy. The family would like to send a special thank you to Donna & Ronnie Jaramillo for loving and taking care of our Dad in his final months of life. Gabe's service in the police force started in Mountainair, NM in 1965. In 1970 he moved to Cuba, NM where he became the chief of police, and completed his law enforcement career as a Deputy Sheriff for Sandoval County in 2007. Gabe also served on the Cuba Fire Department for over 25 years. A memorial service will be held on September 11, 2021 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Cuba NM. His Rosary will be at 10 A.M., followed by the funeral service at 11 A.M., proceeded by the burial at the Catholic Cemetary, and reception at the Parish hall in Cuba, NM.
