Hines D. Perry

Hines D. Perry, 88, of Aztec, New Mexico, passed away on February 15, 2025, in Aztec, New Mexico. Hines was born on April 23, 1936, in Uvalde, Texas to parents John Perry and Julia DeHoyos.

Hines was a hardworking man who took pleasure in supporting his family. At age 11 he began working to help his mother support his younger siblings. When he turned 18, he followed his dreams and enlisted in the US NAVY where he served for 20 years. After returning from the military, he landed a job with Giant Refinery in Bloomfield, NM where he was the maintenance supervisor. From there he retired to go enjoy life.

He enjoyed fishing, scratching his lottery tickets, going to the horse races, and the casino every chance he got. He loved his kids and grandkids more than anything. Hines was the dad and grandpa that he didn’t have to be but chose to be. He will forever be dearly missed.
