Jack Beasley passed away on Nov 14, 2019 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Jack was born in Raton, NM to Clarence and Edith Beasley on October 1, 1941. Jack married his high school sweetheart Judy Boren. They were blessed with five children Elizabeth Hubbell(Scott), Earnest Todd Beasley, Angie Steers(Brandon), Jason Beasley, and Cheri Beasley. Together they have 10 grandchildren & 9 great grandchildren. Jack is also survived by 3 brothers Douglas Beasley, Dennis Beasley, Darrel Beasley and his Sister Donna Hensley-Beasley and many nieces and nephews. Jack was an entrepreneur he was given credit to promoting & encouraging Navajo Artist. Jack owned Beasley Trading Company and Rare Images which was his Folk Art Gallery for many years. Jack also had the pleasure of lecturing at Major Museums from Santa Fe, NM to the Smithsonian Institute in New York promoting the Navajo Folk Art. Jack was on the Education Channel at the Northern Arizona University. His goal was to educate people on Native American Folk Art and give the Artist an opportunity for a new way of life. Jacks respect for the Dine' people was deeply rooted. Jack was featured in many articles in Books and Magazines. Jack was also a collector of Antiques and loved beautiful unique Art. Jacks love for Antiques began when working at an Antique store in Durango, Colorado. Though Jacks sickness started taking a toll in these last years you would still see him on the go looking for his next Treasure. Jack will be remembered for being light hearted, witty, and always eager to tell a joke to put a smile on somebody's face. Jack will be missed by many and will always have a place in our hearts. Jack was preceded in death by his Parents, Carrie Lynn Beasley, and her daughter Marley Taylor Simpson. The Family has arranged for a Private Memorial at this time.
