Janet A. Gilbert Bell

Janet A. Gilbert Bell, 71, passed away on January 4, 2024, in Farmington, New Mexico.

Janet was born December 29, 1952, at Portsmouth, Ohio, and had two lovely daughters, Brenda Isley and Shalimar Miller. 

On September 4, 1998, she married Dale E. Bell in Las Vegas, Nevada. They lived in Farmington, New Mexico, where she traveled with her husband’s work and helped him when able. Her hobbies were rock hunting, where she created her own jewelry to sell and wear, and gold prospecting where she found gold, silver, and gems.

Janet is survived by her husband, Dale Bell of Farmington, New Mexico; her daughters, Brenda Isley Miller (Timothy her husband) who is currently in Pinellas, Florida, and Shalimar “Shelly” Gilbert Miller who is currently in Flemingsburg; three sisters, Lula Cox of Maysville, Bonnie Highlander of Wallingford, and Patricia Mabry of Flemingsburg; one brother, Troy Gilbert of Vanceburg; five grandchildren, Dillon, TJ, Jordon, Dakota, and Kyle; four great-grandchildren; and multiple nephews and nieces.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn and Violet Pollitt Gilbert; two sisters, Joyce Myer and Faye Wilson; and three brothers, Harvey Gilbert, Ray Moore, and Samuel Gilbert.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 KY 57 at Tollesboro, with Bro. Milt Stanfield officiating. Burial will follow in Esham Cemetery at Wallingford.
