Jerold Brooks

Jerold Wayne Brooks, 69, of Bloomfield, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018, in Bloomfield. He was born April 19, 1948, in Knox City, Missouri to O.C Brooks and Ella Hardesty Brooks.

Jerold was raised in the Aztec area where he attended school. He went into the Army before graduation and completed his GED. After serving 4 years Jerold returned to Aztec and worked in the oil field. Jerold received his CDL and the necessary licenses needed to install propane tanks until he retired. Jerold was a very fun-loving father and husband. He loved camping, fishing and being outdoors. He was an outstanding mechanic and even better jokester. He loved spending time with the family, cooking, and eating hamburgers and hotdogs and being retired.

Jerold was preceded in death by his parents, O.C. Brooks and Ella Brooks and his sister, Janie Elaine Brooks. He is survived by his wife, Lori Brooks; Sons, Stoney Brooks, Miguel (Tara) Gonzales, Ryan Conaway; daughters, Candace Brooks, Kimberly (Richard) Wilson, Michelle (John) Kounce, Becky (Chris) Rangel; sisters, Sharon McCartney and Norma Wolff; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
