Jessie Dwight Bowden 92, entered the gates of heaven on January 4, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Dwight was born on September 19, 1931 in Cherry Hills Arkansas., to Jess Bowden and Rosie E Davis.
Dwight grew up in Mena Arkansas. He joined the Navy in 1948 and served 4 years in the Navy during Korean War.
Dwight was a Conservation Officer with the New Mexico Game and Fish Department for 27 years. He had a job that he enjoyed and loved being able to do.
He enjoyed camping, spending time with his family, and flying a private airplane for 35 years. For 25 years they spent winters in Bullhead City Arizona.
After being discharged from the Navy, in 1952, he met the love of his life Mary Blohm, they were married on June 6 1952 and spent 71 years together. They lived all over the state of New Mexico, and made friendships along the way.
From this marriage they had 5 children, Steve, Alan (Henrietta), Vicki (David) Griego, Ridge (Zabrina), Judy Crampton.
Dwight is survived by his wife Mary, and 4 of his children, 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren. 3 great great grandchildren.
Dwight was preceded in death by his parents, Jess, and Rosie Bowden, son Alan, daughter in law Henrietta, brother Bill Bowden, sister, Avajene Sims.
A celebration of his life will be 10:00 am, Friday, March 8, 2024 at Three Rivers Assisted Living in Farmington, NM.
