Jimmy Matta

On July 19th, 2023, our beloved husband, father, and papa Jimmy Matta left this world to join his heavenly father. He was born to Carlos and Tomasa Matta in Roswell, NM on February 25, 1962.

Jimmy had a love for life. You could depend on him to brighten up any room he walked into just by smiling his million dollar smile. He was a jack-of-all trades and knew a little bit of something about almost anything. He was the man to call if you needed anything done. If he didn't know, he would do everything he could to find out. He left his mark on a lot of people and a lot of places.

Jimmy was proceeded in death by both his parents, his grandma Lita, his Tia Dorothy, and his Grandson Eugene Dunston.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Louisa Matta. His sons Jaymes (Victoria), and LJ. His Daughters Linda (Chris), Cagnie (Gary), and Jaymee. Grandchildren Andrew Dunston, Jasmin and Breanna Soza, Carlos Aurora and Jenesis Matta, Noah Cline, Malorie Mia and Jimmy Matta, Mikael and Leandra Barfield. Also Numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

There will be Celebration of Life being held on Saturday July 29th at 1 p.m. at the Florez Campground in Angostura, NM.
