JoAnn Shockley

Jo Ann Ivy – Galaviz – Shockley of Farmington passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the age of 79, at her home in Farmington. She was born August 6, 1939 in Royalty, Texas to Willie Bob Ivy and Joyce Marie Alderson.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents and her husband, Dewey Earl Shockley. She grew up in Eunice, New Mexico and after living several years in west Texas, she and her family settled in Farmington, New Mexico. She was a lifelong member of the Southern Baptist Church.

Jo Ann is survived by her children, Sherry Maledon and husband Raymond of Kermit, Texas; Tanya Galaviz of Farmington; Robert Galaviz and his partner Lynn of Bloomfield, New Mexico; Becky Stevens and husband Clay of Artesia, New Mexico; Kelly Shockley and wife Joy of Bloomfield, New Mexico; Waylon Shockley and wife Lana of Texas. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 1 great, great grandchild, her brother Bob Ivy and wife Vicky of Schertz, Texas and her sister Kay Ensor and husband Jack of Mandeville, Louisiana and numerous nieces and nephews.

She has gone now to be with the angels, but she will live forever in our hearts.
