Joe Grijalva

On September 29th, 2022 Joe Ralph Grijalva was called home to our Heavenly Father's side at the age of 42. Joe was born on October 23, 1979 to Jose R. and Connie R. Grijalva in Farmington, NM.

Nicknamed Joe/Jose/ and Little Jose, he brought light to the lives of everyone he met with his infectious laugh and sense of humor.

Joe is survived by his parents, sister Connie Marie and her fiancé Hill, brother Bobby, and two cats, Monster and Koko. Shy, Joe's deceased cat waits for him on the other side.

Joe spent much of his time caring for stray cats throughout his neighborhood. He believed every animal deserves love, kindness and a place to eat. He was a kind and generous soul who would often buy every stray cat he fed their own food bowl so that they had something to call their own. He loved watching his favorite football team the Las Vegas Raiders.

His free time was spent fixing up his house and expressing himself through the words in the poems he wrote. He looked forward to summer as he always hated the cold weather. He loved his mom's homemade banana bread during the holidays and eggnog after lighting the Christmas tree.

Joe will be missed by all who met him and loved him as he was truly a one of a kind soul who always gave more than life had given him.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations are made to the Aztec and Farmington animal shelter on his behalf. Jose loved all animals and he would've loved knowing that his memory continues to care for animals in need.
