John Tully Cumer, Jr., was born on November 16, 1969, in Pittsburgh PA and peacefully went to Heaven on January 4, 2025, in Farmington NM at the age of 55.
John grew up in Pittsburgh and attended Hampton High School and the University of Pittsburgh. His career was dedicated to the car business which consisted of various states: Florida, Nebraska, Mississippi, New Mexico, and Pennsylvania. Sports was a lifetime interest of his, playing basketball himself and especially following Tennessee Titans football, Pittsburgh Penguins hockey, and the Pittsburgh Panthers. He also loved creating his own recipes and spending hours in the kitchen to produce beautiful, tasty meals.
John is survived by his forever love, Adriann Crowder, the love of their lives Kobe Crowder-Cumer, his mother Linda Miller Cumer of Pittsburgh, his father John “Jack” Cumer Sr of Pittsburgh, his sister Erin (Joseph) de Castro and niece Kiana of Kent WA, aunts and uncles Mimi (Beak)Tarasi, Colleen Miller, Tim Miller, and JoAnn (Charles) Russell; Adriann’s family - John Crowder, Gail and Bill Miller, and Benjamin Crowder family; and other special friends and relatives, including Sue, Bill, Robin, Richard, Katie, and so many more…
John’s family wishes to thank the staff of San Juan Regional Medical Center for their sincere and expert care, as well as the friendship of Jason, Monica and Mackenna Ebert, during this difficult time. John was a registered organ donor and through his generosity, he will assist others to have better lives.
A Celebration of John’s Life will be held Saturday, January 11, from 6-9pm at the San Juan Country Club in Farmington.
