Jonah Mark Dennis of Fruitland, New Mexico, left this earth for his eternal home in glory on January 21, 2021. A memorial service will be held at 13 Road 6763 in Fruitland on Thursday, January 28, at 10 AM.
Jonah was famous for his sense of humor and the ability to light up a room with his smile and his wry wisecracks. To know Jonah was to love him. His parents, Richard Dennis and Felicia Wilson Lee, and his many brothers and sisters will miss him very much.
Born in Santa Cruz, California on March 12, 2004, Jonah leaves behind sisters Lydia Dennis, Lily Dennis, Ruby Rose Dennis, Mary Dennis; brothers Josiah Dennis, Bede Dennis; and stepbrothers and sisters, Faith Lee, Gabby Lee, Mari Lee, Charles Lee, Emma Dyer and John Dyer; grandparents Jim and Deborah Wilson of Ft. Smith, AR; Alice Lenice Dennis of Rotan, TX; Keith and Betsy Lee of Fruitland, NM; and John and Karen Collier.
Jonah is a junior at Piedra Vista High School in Farmington, NM, where he was on the honor roll, once receiving an award for getting a 4.2 grade point average. Bright and articulate, Jonah made new friends easily, and was a bright spot to everyone he was around. He was deeply loved by many in the community, and he will be greatly missed. He was a member of the wrestling team. He enjoyed photography and French class. He loved his family and friends deeply.
Funeral Services for the Fruitland teen are planned for Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 10am at 13 Road 6763, Fruitland, NM, 87416.
