Jose E Gurule was born March 6, 1943 to Eliseo and Celina Gurule and entered the gates of heaven February 13, 2023.
Jose was a very hard worker. He worked in many industries including logging, mining and construction. He was proud to be a part of building The Einsenhower/Johnson Memorial Tunnels in Colorado as well as the casinos built on the strip in the late 1980s, such as the MGM and Luxor to name a few, in Las Vegas. He was also a carpenter at the San Juan Power Plant. When he wasn't at work he enjoyed the outdoors; hunting, fishing, 4 wheeling, horseback riding and gardening. Above all his love was being a dad and grandpa.
He is going to be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Jose had a compassionate heart which he showed by helping anyone in need.
He was preceded in death by his parents Eliseo & Celina Gurule; brother Eliseo Gurule jr.; and granddaughter Simmie Gurule.
He is survived by his daughters Marlene Galindo (Alex), Norene Gurule (Duane) and Roxanne Gurule (Steven), Grandson Isaiah Gurule (Tori) and one great granddaughter Everly Gurule, Sisters Elenor Gurule and Emily Olguin (Felix), numerous nephews & neices. Countless relatives and friends.
A graveside service at the Rodarte Morada Cemetery will be held at a later date.
