Kathryn Ann Silva

Kathryn Harper Silva was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on May 26th 1938 to Ruth M. and Hulbert Harper. After living in Iowa and Illinois she moved with her family to Farmington and eventually Kirtland, NM. She graduated from Kirtland Central High School in 1956. She later attended San Juan College. She married A.R. (Goose) Silva on Jan 20th 1956 in Waterflow, NM. They had 2 children Gilbert and Stefanie.

She managed Palmer Plaza Shopping Center for 10 years, then worked as a secretary at K.C.H.S. for 17 years. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, gambling, camping and traveling with family. After her retirement she and Goose spent their time travelling to Mexico and southern Arizona in their motorhome. They were married for 66 years.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her son Gilbert Silva, and her parents Ruth and Hulbert Harper. She is survived by her husband A.R. Silva of Waterflow, and daughter Stefanie Silva and son in law Matthew Scott of Farmington, and numerous in laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service for Kathy will be held on March 12th 2022 at Farmington Funeral Home at 11am. We would like to give special thanks to the staff of Guardian Angel Home Health Care.
