Kathy Hunt

Kathy Anisa Hunt, 54, Passed from this life due to cancer on Sunday, October 24, 2021. She was born in Denver, Colorado on July 1, 1967. Her memory will live on through her children; Allison Garcia, Kelsey Berhost (Tylan) and Trenton Henighan (Ciara Montgomery); and through her grandchildren Aliciana, Gabriel, Che, and Eliana; All who she loved dearly.
Kathy worked at Childhaven for several years and had such compassion for the children she helped there. She also served on the board of directors for Childhaven up until her death. She then became a corrections officer at the San Juan County Jail for over 11 years until her declining health forced her to retire.
Kathy is also survived by her parents Darrell and Kim Hunt, her brothers and sister, and her life-long friends Janice Davis and Donna Jaquez, along with many other friends and family members, who are all mourning the loss of their kind hearted daughter, sibling, and friend.
She is now at peace, preceded in death by the love of her life Jerry Henighan, as they watch their children and grandchildren live on in their memory; her second mom Clorinda Stallings, and her best friend Jena Ortega.
Although her short life came to an end, the love she had will forever live on. She will be dearly missed by her family and her many friends she had.
A Celebration of Life will be on Friday, October 29th at 5:30pm at 211 E. Oak St., Bloomfield, NM 87413 at the Bloomfield Assembly of God.
