Kelly Maitlen

Kelly Sue Maitlen, 51 of Aztec, passed away on October 22, 2021. She was born August 9, 1970 in Cortez, Colorado to Gerald and Barbara Switzer.

Kelly's life would seem too short to many, but to those of us who were blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time she stayed here.

Kelly was talented in so many aspects of her life. She was a genius with numbers and business even though she never pursued that path. Aside from that, Kelly enjoyed spending time with her loved ones whether it be a say out on the town shopping, cuddled up on her couch watching movies or going for a ride on her motorcycle to enjoy the fresh air. Most importantly Kelly was an amazing mom. Her two children were her life.

Kelly is preceded in death by her son Travis Goupil and her grandparent Lillie Maitlen. She is survived by her daughter Erica DeYapp and her parents Gerald and Barbara Switzer.

There will be a memorial service at 10:00 am on November 13, 2021 at the Bloomfield Assembly of God with Pastor Alan Wolfard officiating.
