Kenneth Darrel Meathenia

Kenneth Meathenia, age 84, of Bloomfield, went home to his Lord and Savior on June 24, 2021. He passed from this life while at San Juan Regional Medical Center surrounded by loved ones.

He was born on May 3, 1937, to George and Ethel Meathenia, in Texas. He attended Shamrock High School and later married Natalie Herndon. They soon moved to New Mexico where he went to work for El Paso Natural Gas Company.

He is preceded in death by his parents, all of his eight siblings, and grandson, Craig Stahle.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Natalie, his three daughters, DeeDee Stahle and husband Steve, Dana Manns, and Kenda Meathenia, as well as grandchildren, Rachel Stahle, Daisha (Ruben) Gomez, Justin Easley, Isaiah Meathenia, Anna Meathenia, and Ginny Meathenia. He has five great-grandchildren, Trevor, Judd, Kara, Edge and Daily.

A funeral will be held at First Baptist Church Bloomfield on Tuesday, June 29, at 11:00 a.m. and burial will follow at East Hammond Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Farmington Funeral Home.
